Brechin Imaging Services has extensive experience in the conversion of digital files to OCR, multiple page PDF’s files
and other document archiving formats. Many of our clients wish to make their material accessible over the internet
so we offer PDF file compression using software from CVision Technologies that reduces the file size of PDF and image files to up to
60 percent. This enables the viewer to view and or download the files in a fraction of the time while using less network
time and space.

Brechin previously completed a migration project with the Canadian Museum of Civilization
to convert over 360,000 Kodak Photo CD files to TIFF 6.0 to ensure accurate archiving. To do this we developed specific
techniques that ensure that color management and resolution of the original file is maintained. In addition, we tracked
and documented all metadata associated with the conversion.
